Privacy policy

TrueChad (“we”) runs truechad.org. We built the product so that the most sensitive data, your face, never reaches us. This page explains exactly what we collect and why.

Your photos

We never upload or store your photos or camera feed. Face detection runs entirely in your browser. To calculate your rating, your browser sends us only the positions of 478 facial landmark points (numbers, not an image). We use them to compute your scores and then discard them. We keep only the resulting scores.

What we store

  • Your account: email address, and your name and profile picture URL if you sign in with Google.
  • Your scan results: date, rating, tier, the 10 metric values and which ideals (male/female) you chose.
  • Security cookies that keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To show you your results and progress.
  • To send account emails (verification and password resets). No marketing emails.
  • To prevent abuse, for example by rate-limiting sign-in attempts.

We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Who processes it

Accounts and scan results are stored with Supabase (database and authentication). The site is hosted on Cloudflare. If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your name, email and profile picture with us. The face-detection model file is downloaded from Google's servers, but no data about you is sent back.

Your choices

  • Delete any individual scan from your dashboard.
  • Delete your whole account from your dashboard. This permanently removes your email and all scans.
  • Email us to ask what data we hold about you.

Age

TrueChad is for people aged 13 and over. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
